- National Science Foundation (NSF) Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) Program
- An NSF funded research opportunity for undergraduates. An REU Site is a research program at a university in which ten or so undergraduates work on a specific research project. The undergraduate works with faculty and other researchers at the institution. Students are given stipends and money for housing and travel. REUs are for students who are U.S. citizens or permanent residents.
- Advancing Space Science through Undergraduate Research Experience A paid internship at UC Berkeley's Space Sciences Lab

- CSUN Build Poder Program
- Allows Los Angeles Pierce College (LAPC) students who have one year left at LAPC to do research at California State University, Northridge (CSUN) in the biological science fields. LAPC students do not have to transfer to CSUN.
