- Where do you wish to transfer to?
Select 3-5 campuses at minimum to plan for and apply to. Go to "How to Choose a Transfer University" for suggested direction.

Pierce College Transfer University Research Tool
See a counselor every term to plan - requirements can change often! Complete at least 60 transferrable units, consisting of:
- General Education Plan- Choose One
- IGETC Education Plan for transfer to University of California UC or CSU campuses
- or Complete the California State University (CSU) GE Plan for transfer to a CSU campus ONLY
- or GE Plans specific to your chosen Private or Out-of-State University
- Major Preparation Courses
- Courses to prepare you for your major at your chosen university.

It's best to also meet directly with the universities you are considering. University Representatives offer one-on-one meetings via zoom or in person.

Most universities require that you apply near one year in advance, this means that your courses will still be in progress or planned when you apply to transfer!
