Fee Schedule & Estimated Living Expenses
Los Angeles Pierce College (LAPC) International requires verification of funds for an academic year in the amount of $32,000 USD. This total includes tuition, mandatory fees, and estimated living expenses. An academic year is nine (9) months. Students who will not be paying rent or buying groceries (free room and board) are only required to document $19,000 USD in available funds.
The time it will take to graduate or complete a program depends on the unit requirements, how many units a student takes per semester, and if there are any prerequisite courses needed. Some associate degree and transfer pathway programs may exceed 70 units.

LAPC International Student Fee Schedule
There are two mandatory semesters in an academic year: fall and spring. International students are required to enroll in a minimum of 12 units every fall and spring semester. Students are charged tuition per unit.

The non-resident tuition for international students is $359 per unit. International students are required to enroll in a minimum of 12 units every fall and spring semester.

The enrollment fee for all students is $46 per unit. International students pay this fee in addition to non-resident tuition. International students are required to enroll in a minimum of 12 units every fall and spring semester.

F-1 Visa students are required to pay a SEVIS maintenance fee of $25 per semester.
Medical insurance coverage is mandatory for all full-time international students while they are studying at LAPC. Students are required to purchase the Los Angeles Community College District (LACCD) medical insurance policy upon enrollment. The cost is $780 for a 6-month period of coverage and is payable to the college.
All LAPC students are required to pay a Student Center Health Fee of $19 per semester. By paying this fee, students have access to the campus Student Health Center which provides limited free or low-cost medical services and referrals.
A $2 Student Representation Fee is charged every semester to provide support of student representation in college governmental affairs.
The ASO membership fee is $7 per semester. ASO is the college student government. ASO also supports student clubs and coordinates many activities at the college. Students are encouraged to join clubs and attend ASO events.
An LAPC Parking Permit is required to park a car on campus each semester. The cost is $20 per semester and parking is assigned to student lots. For preferred parking, ASO membership is required.
Textbooks and supplies vary depending on course requirements and are estimated to cost $500 per semester.
The LAPC community is known as an upscale and moderate to high-priced rental area. While living expenses will vary depending on the student's lifestyle, the student should be prepared to spend approximately $19,500 per academic year for rent, food, transportation and personal expenses.
The United States government requires all F-1 Students to present certified proof of financial support. Students may not work off-campus without authorization from the United States Citizenship and Immigration Service. Students may work on-campus, but positions are not guaranteed. Unauthorized employment is a violation of F-1 Student status.
