Pierce College Extended Opportunity Programs and Services (EOPS) celebrated 55 years of serving students on Tuesday, September 24th with an open house, refreshments and giveaways. Many students are aware of EOPS for the free books, school supplies and financial assistance they receive, but many more appreciate the trusted relationships they build with caring counselors, “My favorite part is the counselors and that I get to have a personal connections with at EOPS,” said Yvette, a Pierce EOPS student. “they’re very good at keeping track of where I’m at in my educational journey so if I ever need help, they make it easy.”

EOPS is a state-funded support program designed to assist qualified low-income and educationally disadvantaged students in completing their educational goals with the assistance of financial and student support services. The program is open to all qualified students from high school graduates to working adults.
