L.A. Pierce College Women’s Soccer Celebrates 500th Game
It was a historic night on Tuesday, September 17, 2024 as Head Coach Adolfo Perez and the Los Angeles Pierce College Women's Soccer team celebrated their 500th game with a 2-1 win over LA Harbor. The win was also the 333rd win in program history.
The program and Coach Perez were recognized in a ceremony before the game. The Brahmas were missing a couple of key players, however, they managed to squeeze out the win. Freshman Payton Larsen recorded two assists. Just before the end of the first half, Jocelyn Coronado beat the goalkeeper on a one-on-one opportunity. Larsen would find another open teammate in the second half this time Melissa Nevarez who scored her fourth goal of the season.
LA Harbor would get a goal back on a long-range shot before the end of the game, but Pierce was able to control the rest of the game for the victory.
