Help Spread the Word: Summer 2025 International Student Application Deadline!
The April 3, 2025 deadline for international students to apply for Summer 2025 admission is quickly approaching, and we everyone to help get the word out. Pierce welcomes students from around the world, offering them a high-quality education, a supportive campus community, and a range of academic resources.
If you know a prospective international student or have colleagues who work with international applicants, please encourage them to apply before the deadline. This is a great opportunity for students looking to start their studies in Los Angeles this summer.

Important Updates on Student Fee Policies & Financial Aid Communication
Changes are coming to how students handle enrollment and fee payments at Pierce and the Los Angeles Community College District. Starting in Summer 2025, students will be required to pay enrollment fees upfront at registration or by the posted due date in the Student Portal. Those who do not pay or set up a payment plan risk being dropped from their courses.
To ensure that students stay on track, faculty and staff are encouraged to spread the word and help students explore financial aid options and the interest-free payment plan, which allows for manageable monthly installments. Supporting students in navigating these changes will be key in ensuring that no one loses their spot due to financial barriers.

Scholarship Opportunity for Pacific Islander Women
The Hawaiʻi’s Daughters Guild, Inc. (HDG) is offering scholarships to support women of Pacific Islander ancestry in achieving their educational goals. Open to students pursuing career and technical education, community college, undergraduate, or graduate degrees, this annual scholarship provides tuition assistance ranging from $500 to $2,000, along with an additional $1,000 grant for books and technology.
Eligible applicants must be California residents with a minimum 3.0 GPA and be enrolled in at least six units at an accredited college, university, or trade school. Scholarships are awarded competitively, considering academic achievement, extracurricular activities, financial need, and a personal essay.
