The Chicana/o Studies and Media Arts departments at Los Angeles Pierce College present their Second Annual Indigenous Mexico Conference. This year's theme, "Indigenous Mexico on Film," brings together students, scholars, and community members to explore historical and contemporary topics in Indigenous Mexican Studies through the lens of cinema. The day-long event will feature award-winning films, discussions about the filmmaking process, cultural performances by Sisters of the One Drum and Danza Azteca Xochipilli, and light refreshments. Coordinated by faculty from PEACh, Media Arts, and the Nuestra Comunidad program, this conference offers a unique opportunity to engage with Indigenous Mexican history, culture, and artistic expression.
