Student Athlete Jocelyn Coronado Wins Offensive Player of The Year, Women's Soccer Has Multiple Players Earn Conference Honors
Jocelyn Coronado earned the honor of Western State North Offensive Player of the Year. The freshman scored 11 goals and six assists for a total of 28 points. Out of the 11 goals, three of those were game-winning!
Natalie Grant, Melissa Nevarez, and Hailey Chavez earned First Team honors. Grant, a freshman, earned the honor while playing superb defense all year. Nevarez was part of a lethal attacking front, scoring six times and assisting three others. Chavez recorded six assists as a defender while also helping keep multiple clean sheets.
Jennifer Flores and Livia Pereira were named to the All-Conference second team. Flores formed part of the Brahmas lockdown defense, while also finding the back of the net once. Pereira was outstanding on offense, scoring a total of ten games and one assist.
Adriana Villacana, Hannah Morales, and Brenda Medina rounded out the honors with All-Conference honorable mentions. Villacana started 14 games for Pierce making 46 saves throughout the season. She also recorded three clean sheets; Morales was an anchor in the midfield scoring a total of five goals. Medina has played multiple roles for the Brahmas; she recorded a total of six goals including a brace in the first round of the playoffs.
